On August 16, 2015 from 11:00-3:00pm behind the Ames Mansion at Borderlands State Park in Easton, MA members of NESBA demonstrated botanical illustration. Visitors stopped by to watch talented botanical artists at work! Blanche Ames, the women of this estate was a botanical artist –members of the New England Society of Botanical Artists completed beautiful pieces, as Blanche did many years ago. Some guests brought their own drawing utensils and joined in the fun! The Friends of Borderland provided some drawing material. Watching history in the making and interacting with the artists one could almost sense Blanche Ames out there painting along with us.
