Mountains to the Sea concludes in Maine!



NESBA’s From the Mountains to the Sea exhibit opens this week at its sixth and final venue, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens http://www.mainegardens.org/ in Boothbay ME. All members and their friends are invited to the reception on Saturday Aug. 9, 5-7 pm. The exhibit will be on view from August 1 through September 30.

NESBA member, Phyllis Willis has three paintings accepted into the juried art show, "Beyond The Garden Gate"




The annual juried exhibit embraces the theme of gardens and flowers. The exhibit is a companion event to the South Shore Natural Science Center’s annual Garden Tour. The show dates are June 27- September 2, 2014 at the South Shore Natural Science Center in Norwell Ma
The public is invited to attend a “Meet the Artists” reception for the “Beyond the Garden Gate” exhibit in Vine Hall Gallery, July 23, 6-8pm. South Shore Natural Science Center, 48 Jacobs Lane, Norwell, MA.
Light refreshments will be served.

RI team takes down Mountains to the Sea!

Thanks to NESBA’s RI State Rep Frances Topping for organizing the exhibit, and to members Gail Tatangelo, Rita Edmunds and Joyce Westner for packing up the paintings and moving them to Joyce’s house for the month of July. RI was a great success with more speakers than at any other venue, Frances Topping on “Botany for Artists and Others,” Robin Wilkerson on “Native Heroes,” Gail Tatangelo and Joan DeGregory on “Drawing and Painting Botanicals.”

The 60 paintings will go on to the last but not least of the venues, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, from August 1 to September 30.
