Weird, Wild, and Wonderful is an American Society of Botanical Artists exhibition depicting botanical oddities and curiosities. The artists sought visually unusual plants and created works of art that celebrate the bizarre, yet beautiful flora of the world. The exhibit features 46 original artworks by artists from the US and around the world.
NESBA members, Kathie Miranda, Kelly Radding, Kathy Folino, Jeannette vanRaalte and Susan Pettee had pieces in the exhibition.
Members of NESBA enjoyed seeing the exhibition as well as the beauty of the plants and gardens in the rest of the New York Botanic Gardens.
A heartfelt thank you to Nancy Savage for organizing the trip, to Kathie Miranda, and to Karen Daubmann, Associate Vice President for Exhibitions and Public Engagement, The New York Botanical Garden, for making the arrangements with the NYBG.
